Stripe payments for Thor Commerce.

Thor Commerce brings Stripe payments into your commerce workflow, from checkout to order management. Connect your Stripe account to accept payments at checkout and manage captures, cancellations, and refunds directly in Thor.

Illustrative purchase: changing the quantity updates Thor and Stripe from 84.00 EUR to 168.00 EUR. Stripe authorizes 168.00 EUR. The payment is captured in Thor and the completed payment is reflected in Stripe.

Stripe handles the payment. Thor keeps it connected to commerce.

Keep payment amounts, status, and actions connected to the cart and order, from the first checkout request to capture or refund.
  1. Connect the account

Authorize Thor Commerce in Stripe and connect the account to your payment gateway.

  2. Create the payment

At checkout, Thor creates a Stripe PaymentIntent using the cart total and currency.

  3. Keep the amount current

While the payment session is active, Thor keeps the PaymentIntent amount aligned with the cart.

  4. Act on the order

Capture, cancel, or refund the payment in Thor as the order moves through operations.

One integration, from checkout to refund.

Stripe Connect onboarding

A Stripe OAuth flow connects an account without asking a merchant to paste secret keys into Thor.

Cart-aware PaymentIntents

Thor carries the cart total and currency into Stripe and links the PaymentIntent back to the cart, payment, project, and gateway.

Authorization and capture

Payments are authorized first. Teams can capture the required amount when the order is ready to proceed.

Operational payment actions

Capture, cancellation, and refund actions are available through Thor’s commerce operations and Admin GraphQL API.

Signed event handling

Thor validates Stripe webhook signatures before translating supported payment and refund events into commerce payment records.

Test and live separation

Connected gateways retain their Stripe mode so teams can verify a payment flow before taking it live.

Connected payments. Clear responsibilities.

Storefronts work with Thor’s cart and checkout APIs. Thor creates the Stripe PaymentIntent, returns the client secret needed by the payment UI, and uses metadata and signed events to reconnect Stripe activity with the right commerce records.
